Primary Duties
In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical tax, analytical, operational, management, and client service skills with real estate clients.
Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team.
Manage compliance and consulting in areas of Section 1031 exchange, Section 754 step-up, Section 163(j) interest limitation, Section 1231 gain/loss calculations as well as an ability to analyze and implement certain aspects of partnership/LLC operating agreements with respect to tax applications.
Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team.
Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
Understand the client’s organization, procedures, and internal policies.
Understanding your clients’ goals and needs and servicing clients directly.
Strategizing with Managing Directors regarding planning.
Provide clients with recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals and assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clients.
Researching tax and accounting issues and providing guidance to clients.
Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
7 years public accounting experience.
5 years supervisory experience.
CPA preferred.
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
