Roofing Estimator
Job Description
Our ideal candidate can oversee multiple projects from all aspects: design, estimating, owner selections, and execution. Our team is dedicated to approaching each project individually and ensuring the best customer experience with transparency, excellence, and integrity at the core.
This is not the typical sales/project manager/estimator position. We specialize in high-end, custom roof systems, which normally have complicated roofs with valleys, flat sections, and multi-story components. This position will take an aerial view roof report and create an estimate that details the labor and material needed to complete the job. It may also require looking at builder plans, checking elevations, etc.
**MUST HAVE: Experience with The EDGE estimating software**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed estimates for residential projects (shingle, tile & metal)
- Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determine what factors of production will influence the cost
- Maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system
- Generate job cost reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Perform hand-off meetings with assigned project managers
- Present prepared estimates to management
Requirements:
- Florida roofing experience
- Experience with The Edge estimating software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow
- Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for residential projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
