As the Director of Truckload Pricing, this role will report to the Vice President of Operations and will hold responsibility for managing the domestic truckload pricing operation(s) including.
- Hands-on management of the customer bid process, contracts, awards, system billing and rating structures, EDI, and API data management.
- Assist sales and support operations with the completion of customer requests for information (RFI) and Pricing (RFP)
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and implement pricing strategies to increase opportunity win percentage
- Lead efforts to establish pricing strategies for each customer opportunity received
- Assist/Lead pricing initiatives by in-depth comparative analysis to the market and other important indicators
- Develop relationships with partners, including senior and executive leadership, operations, and sales
- Lead contributor in necessary technical and strategic areas to include process improvement, analysis, and industry knowledge
- Report important statistics related to volume, yield, award management, and other important areas
- Lead evaluation and analysis of data and resources used in the development of customer solutions
- Work with technology team to enhance the technology tools needed to support the organizations pricing needs
- 5+ years of recent truckload pricing experience, with 3PL Domestic Over the Road experience
- Experience with the truckload marketplace and pricing strategies
- High proficiency level with Microsoft, including Excel and Access.
- Experience with data analytic tools preferred
- Experience with McLeod required
- Four Kites and Project 44 software experience preferred
